Who Are We?

Elote Man, for those who don’t know, comes from the person you usually see with a large ice cream-looking cart, and usually has a colorful umbrella on top. The reason I chose this name is that when I was deciding on the name, I wanted something that all my experiences/pieces would fall under, I wanted something that represented something positive in the world and tied into my blood. I see an Elotero/Elotera as someone walking all across cities trying to make a living doing a job that isn’t easy, but that everyone appreciates. At the same time, what they do is make memories and smiles for all the people who hear them honk their horn when they’re passing by, and in my eyes, they represent the character I wanted to have in being someone who brings happiness to the people and to show love to the craft, with everything but the blank shirts being made in-house. The pieces/experiences that I make are all a piece of my life, with being something I’ve experienced, or something meant to make people think about what they buy in an age where a lot of things are superficial and “trend-made”. My job as a creator is to make sure that people are aware of the world they’re living in with pieces like (Ice Melts, Time Doesn’t Care About Regrets, and Media Killed The Romance). At the end of the day, Elote Man was made out of love for what I do. Elote Man isn’t just here to make money, but to make the world a place of better and present people. Y si, yo cocino elotes y durros, for the people who might think I’m not about my name.
